At the very least our security and protection officers need to be educated and prepared to handle these emergencies when they arise. Protection officers will need to have special training to manage and control any number of panic stricken civilians, residents, and small and large gangs that will surface out of control in most instances.

Radiological Warfare Survival Preparation Methods
Learn the secrets they don't want you to know about nuclear attacks.
Learn how your survival will depend on where the bomb attack takes place.
Learn about the types of bombs that are available to use and their relative destructive power.
What about fallout?
How long will I have to stay protected from a nuclear threat or detonation?
In the Case of a Nuclear or Radiological Attack: If there were a threat of a nuclear or radiological attack, people living around potential targets such as military bases and chemical plants, may be advised to evacuate. Protection from radioactive fallout would require taking shelter in an underground area, or in the middle of a large building. Blast shelters offer some protection, but cannot withstand a direct hit from a nuclear detonation. Fallout shelters can be any protected space where the walls and roof are thick and dense enough to absorb radiation. The more distance and time you put between you and the fallout particles, the better. Some fallout shelters are designated by yellow and black shelter signs, although many were removed at the end of the Cold War. During a nuclear attack, do not look at the flash or fireball. Take cover as quickly as possible — below ground, if possible — and stay there until instructed otherwise. If you can't get inside a building, take cover behind anything, lie flat on the ground and cover your head. Fallout may not arrive for 20 minutes or so after the blast but can be carried by wind for hundreds of miles, so seek a shelter that will offer a strong shield against harmful material that is farther away from where the device was detonated.

A weapon of mass destruction (WMD) is a weapon which can kill large numbers of humans and/or cause great damage to man-made structures (e.g. buildings), natural structures (e.g. mountains), or the biosphere in general. The term covers several weapon types, including nuclear, biological, chemical (NBC), and radiological weapons.

Designation with the addition of anti-terrorism training to ensure that your working sites are protected from suspicious activity whether overtly or covertly attempted will be addressed.
You will also be taught how to recognize and be on the alert for such suspicious
activities.

All Certificate Classes are conveniently scheduled in the evening hours
beginning at 6:00pm Thursday and Friday. Saturday from 10:00am until 6:00pm.
